Professional Fire Fighter License Plate
Thank you for your interest in purchasing Professional Fire Fighter License Plates through the Texas State Fire Fighters Emergency Relief and Scholarship Fund. A portion of your purchase is dedicated to the growth of the Relief and Scholarship Fund.
WE MUST RECEIVE THE APPLICATION AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.
IF APPLICATION IS INCOMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU.
- Fill out the application completely.
- Attach a copy of your IAFF membership card. If you cannot find your card, have your Local Secretary issue you a letter stating that are a member of your Local and in good standing with the Local. Be sure he/she signs the letter and affixes your Locals seal.
- Submit your completed application to your local county tax-assessor’s office with a copy of your membership card. Enclose a check for $30 for standard plates or $70 for personalized plates. A portion of this fee is donated to the Texas Fire Fighters Emergency Relief and Scholarship Fund for dependents of Professional Fire Fighters.
- The vehicle for which you are ordering license plates must be registered in your name.
Your license plates will be mailed to you from your county tax office when they are ready.
Any amount paid for these license plates that is tax deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of the amount of any money contributed over the fair market value of the license plates. The fair market value of the stand plates is the TxDOT fee of $25.00 and the fair market value of the personalized plate is the TxDOT fee of $65.00.
