2024 TSAFF Service Training

We are pleased to announce that registration for 2024 TSAFF Service Training is now open. The class will be held
‍September 9 - 13.
The registration fee is $40 per TSAFF member by Thursday, September 5. After this date, Fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee. Each participant (or his or her local) will be responsible for their own travel, lodging and meals.
The Service Training class will offer sessions that include:
  • Workers Comp 101 for firefighters
  • Essentials of Chapter 143 and statutes affecting firefighters
  • Essentials of Chapter 143 and statutes affecting firefighters  Protecting firefighters rights, what is best for your local
  • Negotiation process what you can expect, strategy and knowing when to ask for help
  • Introduction to bargaining and preparation for the meetings
