Supporting Future Leaders since 1996

The Texas Fire Fighters Emergency Relief and Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to eligible dependents of Texas firefighter families.

Every year, the Fund provides scholarships to 10 talented, hard-working young women and men preparing to attend their first year of college.

The deadline to submit your application is 11:59 p.m. CST on March 15, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a TSAFF scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria.

Be a dependent of a current, retired, or deceased certified firefighter

Be entering an accredited university, junior college, or senior college, and be under the age of 24 at the time of application

Commit to becoming and remaining a full-time student for at least two terms or semesters at the accredited institution

Not be an immediate family member of a TSAFF Fund Director, Officer, or Committee Member

Support the Texas State Fire Fighters Emergency Relief and College Scholarship Fund

With our college scholarship fund, we provide an extra boost each year to 10 Texas firefighter families with college-bound students. Our scholarship committee reviews applications and awards scholarships to five girls and five boys annually.
